The Gun's Powers (Explanation)

As mentioned, the gun has a few different settings and buttons that give it a few different powers.

Mind clone: The "default" power of the gun is to clone the mind of the gun holder onto its target. In this setting, the clone knows it is a clone of the gun holder but it also has the ability to access the memories/personality of the target so it can pass as the target as needed (either to interact naturally with friends and family of the target, or for more interesting interactions with the gun holder).

In essence, the new mind is a combination of the gun holder and the target. So for example, a mother who is shot with the gun will still maintain love of her children, but if the gun holder was attracted to the mother's daughter, there will also be a bit of attraction mixed in with the motherly love.

If the gun holder shoots the clone again, the clone is removed and the target's original mind is returned intact although without memories of what happened between when they were first shot and the moment their mind was brought back.

Option: The gun's setting can be changed so that the target remembers what the clone did while they were in charge as if the target did it themselves.

Mind overwrite: Like the "mind clone" power, the mind of the gun holder is overwritten into the target without any access to the target's memories/personality. This is closer to a true clone ability. Muscle memory may still be in play, but in essence, it is like being born into a brand new body that is not theirs.

Option: The gun's setting can be changed so that the target remembers what the clone did while they were in charge as if the target did it themselves.

Mind wipe: When a person is shot while the gun is in this setting, their mind is effectively blanked out and they will follow any commands given to them by the gun holder (and the gun holder only). Their default taste is them staring blankly, basically in an idle mode while waiting for a command. Targets can be told to "act naturally" to maintain some semblance of naturalness and avoid standing out to other people, but will still react to any commands given by the gun holder.

If the gun holder shoots the target again, their original mind returns intact although without memories of what happened between when they were first shot and the moment their mind was brought back.

Option: The gun's setting can be changed so the target will respond to messages from any one, not just the gun holder.
