Where next?

The Dungeons

Marvolo and The Other Hufflepuff's Followed Slytherin Students Down To The Dungeons, Where Their Common Room's Were Supposedly Located. Marvolo Was Elated That He Wasn't Sorted Into Slytherin, But Felt A Tinge Of Regret He Wasn't Sorted Into Gryffindor. But He'd Make The Most Of His Opportunity To Distance Himself From His Family Legacy, and Carve Out His Own Legacy In Hufflepuff. Of All The Hogwarts Houses, Hufflepuff Was The Least Likely To Cultivate A Future Dark Wizard. The "Honor" In That Bit Of Evil, Was Reserved For Slytherin, Followed By Gryffindor, Which Was Followed By Ravenclaw, and Of Course Followed By Hufflepuff. It Wasn't Lost On Him, How Unique His Situation Was, and To The Best Of His Knowledge Only One Other Pure-Blooded Descendant Of Slytherin, Albeit Much More Distantly, Wasn't Sorted Into Slytherin, But He Was Currently Serving A Life Time Sentence In Azkhaban.

Amongst The Other Names Of Import Sorted Were Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott, and Crabbe and Goyle For Slytherin, All Young Men From **** Eater Families, Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, and Ronald Weasley For Gryffindor, and Him and Cute Little British-American Witch Named Josephine Knox, Originally Enrolled At Ilvermony School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Josephine Was A Half-Blood, She Was Descended From Ilvermony Founders Isolt Sayre and James Steward, Who Coincidentally, Were Very Distant Relative's Of Marvolo's Through Isolt's Aunt Gormlaith Gaunt. Josephine Had Beautiful Red Hair, Of A Much Deeper Shade When Compared To The Ginger Of The Weasley's, Her Eyes Were A Magnificently Pale Green, She Was Quite Breathtakingly Beautiful, But Marvolo Felt She Was Way Out Of His League, Even If They Were Distant Enough In The Family Tree To Date.

Anyways, They'd Arrived At The Common Room, and Entered. Marvolo Would've Said That The Hufflepuff's Had More Money Than Brains, Since The Common Room Was A Borderline Room Of Gold. However, Gold Was One Of The Hufflepuff Colors, and The More Money Than Brains Was Best Said Against The Current Crop Of Slytherin Males, At Least Based Upon First Impressions. The Head Of House, Professor Of Herbology, Pomona Sprout, Was A Plump and Kindly Older Lady, Who Stood Before Them Wearing What Marvolo Could Only Assume Was Her Herbology Attire. "Welcome, Hufflepuff's, I Am Your Head Of House, Professor Sprout, It Is Such A Great Pleasure To Welcome You All Here. However, I Cannot Overstate My Joy That Were Have Marvolo Gaunt and Josephine Knox With Us. As Some Of You Are Undoubtedly Aware, The Gaunt Family Is Descended From Hogwarts Co-Founder Salazar Slytherin, and Has It's Roots In Miss Knox's Previous School, Ilvermony School Of Magic. To Have Two Young People Of Such Distinguished Lineages, Disproves The Belief Prestigious Bloodlines Belong In Slytherin." Says The Jolly Sprout. Marvolo Didn't Like Being The Center Of Attention, Let The Glory Seeking Gryffindors Or Overachieving Slytherins Have That Particular Honor. Instead, He Was Deeply Uncomfortable With The Attention. Josephine It Seemed, Felt As He Did.

At This Point, The Prefects Began To Issue Directives On Where To Bunk In At. When The Boys and Girls Were Separated, Marvolo Felt Eyes On Him, But Only One Truly Mattered. Ignoring The Others, Marvolo Felt The Breathtaking Josephine Knox Eyeing Him With Her Pale Emerald Eyes. His Heart Skipped A Beat, The Moment Was Small, But Significant. Then, They Lost Sight Of Each Other. "Gaunt, You'll Be Bunking With Justin Finch-Fletchely, He's Muggle-Born, and That Doesn't Mean You Can Be Prejudiced As A Result." Says The Hufflepuff Prefect. "Do I Like Someone Who Gives Two Galleons Worth Of Butterbeer Over Blood Purity Meaning Strength Of Magic Or Character?" Retorts Marvolo, Ignoring The Sharp Crack At His Families Ancient and Outdated Beliefs, Instead Replying With One Of His Own. Even So, The Remaining Boys Were Sweating.

Morning.................
