The Cerberus upgrades

The difference is noticeable immediately. The cylindrical station is exactly where you left it, but it's condition is far from what you remember. The leviathan of a base no longer appears worn and incomplete, it's as if Cerberus has been patching up all of the previous weak spots, the newer additions to the hull recognizable by their all too familiar white and gold color.

As expected, Joker breaks the awed silence. "Hard to believe it's only been a couple of months, huh, Doe?"

"That's an understatement, it looks like a whole new base," you reply, studying the station carefully.

"Observation of the outer hull reveals considerable repairs to the collector's stronghold, infiltration will be more complicated than last time," EDI chimes, stating the obvious.

"And that's just the outside," Joker adds, causing you to roll your eyes.

"Knock it off, you two, we're finding a way in there." At least Cerberus did a good job of clearing out most of the wreckage, making the debris field easier to maneuver. That will give you time to think of a plan. "Joker, do you think you could land on this thing?"

For once, the pilot hesitated to think before answering. "It wouldn't be easy, but we wouldn't be any more exposed than if you took the shuttle in." Neither one seems to stick out as preferable, but at least the risk stacks up evenly.

"There's got to be a weak spot, something we aren't seeing. Like a vent, or a loading port," you mumble, looking over EDI's scans more carefully. Any route is going to be dangerous, but Miranda's life could be in serious danger.

True to form, the pilot spews forth another witty retort. "Or we could always just ask Cerberus politely." Again you roll your eyes, ignoring Joker's jibes in order to focus on a way to get inside the former Collector base.
