The Celebration

One night about a week before Christmas my wife came in the living room and sat on the couch giving me the I want to talk look. I never enjoyed any conversation that followed that look. I resigned myself to the worst and put down my paper.

"Honey, I've been asked or well we've been asked to participate in a celebration at my church."

"oh ya," I said thinking great another stupid church event.

"ya it's a celebration we preform every five years. It's to celebrate the prosperity and good fortune of the last five years and to pray for the same in the coming years. It used to be held every year but it was felt that that was to often so it was dropped to every five years. Anyway I've been to a couple but I've never been asked to participate before. So can we go?

"I guess does this celebration happen to have a name?"
