The Begrudge: A horror movie of a ghost who died of shame and curses victims

"Isn't that a horror movie?" Makoto texted back.

"Yeah. What's wrong? Scared?" Ann teased. "I can protect you from the big, scary ghost!"

"I am not scared! Horror just isn't my genre. But if it's the only option, I don't see why not." Makoto insisted. "I'll show you how scared I'm not."

Ann pumped her fist in victory. Makoto was so very easy to manipulate into doing what people wanted. All you needed was to know what buttons to press, and questioning Makoto's nerve was one of the biggest buttons she had.

Ann did indeed work on studying, just as she'd promised Makoto. Science and anatomy was actually proving more interesting to the blonde today, though she wasn't entirely sure why. Maybe it was just clicking with her because of her good mood?

The duo met up at the theater, both dressed casually for the evening. Ann tried to pay for both tickets, but Makoto insisted on taking care of her own expenses. Just another example of the girl's sense of self-reliance and responsibility, Ann reasoned.

"Thanks for coming out, Makoto. I promise you won't regret it!" Ann said as the pair made the way to the auditorium. "This is gonna be great!"

"You're sure in a good mood." Makoto commented. "But alright, I look forward to seeing what makes it so great. Especially if the movie turns out to be bad."

Ann just smiled in response. Little did Makoto know it, but Ann had been formulating plans on how to make sure this little movie date would be a night Makoto would never forget.
