Chapter 16 by bsnick
When she wakes up what does she find he did?
That Kyle has left, the doctor has altered her body, and her life is a mess
Jill barely remembered getting home from the doctor's office, and it wasn't until she pushed the already open door of her apartment that she realized the entire experience with Kyle hadn't been one long nightmare.
She stood in the open doorway for a long time, staring around at the mess of her room, uncertain as to whether she'd been burglarized or if Kyle had been responsible. Everything of value, her tv, computer, furniture, was all gone. Even the things that couldn't possibly be of value, like her drapes, clothes, knick-knacks and pictures, were gone. It looked like it had when she moved in, empty save a tiny pile of clothes, each of which was in itself barely a scrap of cloth.
By the time the police arrived she was still standing in the middle of her apartment trying to come to terms with what had happened. They asked her name, and when she confirmed who she was they cuffed her and took her in on various charges.
At some point she finally got a look at herself, and realized that her face had bandages on it in several places, her breasts were bound and tender and quite obviously much larger, and the large areas of her body looked like they were bruised. In spite of this she had no idea what the doctor had done to her.
The police were polite, but she still had to call in sick to work. Because she couldn't post bail she spent the day in lock-up, calling her parents to bail her out, only to have them hang up on her.
It was late evening before she was released, and without any money she tried a debit machine, only to find that she was overdrawn and her credit cards maxed out. She ended up walking, and collapsed in the middle of the room, the small pile of clothes serving as a pillow while she cried herself to sleep.
In the morning she took another look at herself in the mirror and called in sick. The next day she knew she'd need a doctor's note, and with dread she tried to get ready for work, only to find that the only clothes she had were miniskirts, tiny tops, and minidresses. Choosing the one that could be called the most 'conservative' she scuttled into work.
Her co-workers greeted her with concern over her appearance and shock at her clothes. She told them that she'd had an accident with her car, which wasn't a total lie given that the police told her it might be a write-off.
The second day they gave her funny looks, her boss commenting pointedly on the skimpy clothes she wore, and she told them that she'd been burglarized. Unlike with her car they gave her disbelieving looks.
At the end of the week, the third day, her boss took her aside and sternly told her that she couldn't work in the clothes she was wearing and would need to come in Monday properly dressed.
When Monday came, after a weekend spent eating what few things she could find in her cupboard, she still didn't have clothes. She'd tried a charity store, but they didn't have anything her size and didn't seem to believe that she had no money.
Thus, when she went in to work on Monday her boss sent her right back out again. Her pleas that she didn't have clothes or money fell on deaf ears and she hoped she could even make it to her payday without being fired. Fortunately she had some vacation time and asked to use it. Her boss wasn't happy, but given her clothing problem her request was grudgingly granted.
Payday came and she happily went to the bank, only to find that no sooner had her pay entered her account than it had been re-routed according to pre-arranged payment plans that Kyle must have set up. Penniless again she ate at a homeless shelter that night. She took a second week of vacation, and some bills came in. Utilities were the least expensive of the bills.
It being the end of the month she found a dozen credit card bills arriving with maxed out totals that added up to fifty-thousand. Four lines of credit from various banks added another twenty-thousand to that, and when she went into court she had to add thousands more in fines. Adding her rent to the pile of bills Jill was deeper in debt than she'd been when she was in college, which was another thing she'd still been paying off.
Without more vacation time and still improperly clothed Jill was fired, and try as she might to cancel the pre-arranged payments at the bank her final paycheck vanished like her last one. She still hadn't been able to get her parents or friends to talk to her.
Thankfully her landlord, a kindly older man, gave her extra time to make the rent, but her efforts to find another job didn't pan out.
How long before Kyle shows up for another round?
