That’s woman’s work

“Why don’t you do it, I’m not going to waste my time and energy on that - it’s woman’s work!” Is one of Adam’s new favourite comebacks, to which I would reply “well then who’s gonna do it Adam, I don’t see any women around here to take care of all your dirty work so you’re just going to have to roll up your sleeves and do it”

I thought it would really tick him off when I would rebut his argument but it still didn’t make a difference, he just left it and left it until I inevitably would clean up after him as he watched with a mischievous grin.

One night after a particularly loud and drawn out argument over this very issue where I was tired of being treated this way Adam stormed out and drove off. I was exhausted and finished cleaning the mess we were arguing about before going to bed, hoping maybe some time to clear his head after hearing me out might make Adam reconsider things a bit.
