You open the text and see a thank you message.

“Thank you for thinking of me today. It means a lot to know someone notices me, even if your gift was...unique”

You compose a quick reply

“No problem. I hope you get plenty of use for it!”

Her reply is quick.

“I don’t have much use for a company t-shirt...”

You take a moment to think oh how far to progress things there had always been tension between the two of you, but the boss/employee relationship made it to where you had a fine line to walk

“Well then it will have to be the other thing...”

Her response is almost immediate

“Mike! You’re married and so am I. That’s not appropriate to talk about ;)”

At first you were nervous, but the wink put you at ease a little

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Nothing wrong with some fun between coworkers...”

It’s a little longer before her reply this time
