Thank him.

"Thank you," you say.

"You're very welcome," he responds gallantly, though you think you see perhaps a hint of disappointment with your response.

"How about a shower?" he asks.

"Sure," you say. Ethan turns off the film, which you had long ago stopped paying attention to. Without getting dressed, the two of you walk to the nearest shower. (You've never seen a house with so many showers!) Giggling, you soap each other out, stopping frequently to kiss or caress each other.

When you're done, you both dry off and get dressed. Ethan walks you to your room and gives you a hug and a long kiss. "I really enjoyed myself tonight, Parker," he says.

"I did too," you respond. You give him one last look before entering your room and closing the door.
