Chapter 19 by zaick zaick

They return to the room.

Ten minutes later...

Page gave the short version of all the happenings, to which Jodie joked immediately, "Too bad you lost the trophy!" Page honestly didn't even remember what happened to it. "With any luck, though, they'll link it to your badge number and call or email you about it later."

She did leave out the part with the armored cosplayer. She said instead she just ran back to the hotel and lost some things along they way. They fell off or something. Jodie did not press it.

Page was sweating, her thighs having another kind of liquid, and her feeling a mess in general. She wanted a shower and to get out of these scraps. She stepped into the bathroom and removed everything, turning on the water. On the other side of the door, Jodie spoke.

"Hey, I'm about to head out. The rest of the gang and friends are here. Come join us after you feel like it, alright?"

"Alright." Page called. She sighed. She wanted to stay inside forever, actually, and may say so, depending on how she felt after the shower. She heard her phone ring on the other side of the door. It was probably still in Jodi's cosplay jacket, or on the nightstand. She opened the bathroom door and walked into the main room quickly for it, wondering if it would be the people wondering if she wanted the trophy or not.

Directly across the door to the hotel room was the television stand, which faced the beds to the right. Page saw her phone on the stand beside the television and reached out for it.

The door to the hotel room opened. She turned slightly, her hands slightly outstretched to reach for her phone. She was naked, and Jodi had opened the door, telling someone she had forgot something. Behind Jodi was a dozen people, only half of whom Page even knew - all friends of friends likely, now staring at Page's naked body. Jodi froze, and Page covered her crotch and ran into the bathroom, her chest slightly bouncing as she went. She locked the door, hearing Jodi apologize loudly from the other side.

That was it, though. They were gone. She was alone. The day was over. It was just her and a long shower. A long shower to finish what was started in the parking lot, and after that, hopefully, just peace.

What's next?
