Courtney and Bridgett looked at each other, and smiled, "Maybe we should give him a joint belated birthday present..."

Bridgett blinked as the idea flittered around in her head. It bounced around, sounding better each time, "Sounds good to me, but we'll need an accomplice. You know? Someone that wants him to be happy. Someone that wants us to be happy. Someone that can understand that we are...different." The girls look at Jasmine.

Jasmine shakes her head, "He doesn't know me well enough to trust with this stuff. Carissa?"

"Well, I know him, but...not really that well. I mean you know, I haven't exactly kept in contact with anyone here except for Kathryn."

"How about a friend of yours?" Jasmine suggested.

"Well, Carla would probably be down to do it, but if we do that then Sharon might be offended we didn't ask her." Courtney replied.

"And if we ask Sharon then Carla might be offended, I mean she is my cousin and she'd be all like, 'Why didn't you ask me?' Then she'd go all emo on us and start crying how no one likes her yadda yadda yadda. Put a damper on the evening." Bridgett said, then continued, "There is also Georgia and Aimee...but they've been so into each other that we'd have to tear them apart. Literally."

"How about one of Jeremy's friends?" Jasmine said, thoughtfully.

"Well, there is his neighbor, Adam. He seems to be a guy he trusts and all that, but I don't know I don't want a rumor like that going around. You know? And guys tend to brag and I don't want to hurt Jeremy with rumors or Bridgett."

"Thank you." Bridgett said leaning her head on Courtney's shoulder.

"I'm at a loss though I just can't think of anyone..."

Suddenly Kathryn walked into the living room, "You're all sure you don't want anything to eat?" She said with a smile. A smile that faded as everyone stared at her. "Uh...what? Why are you staring?"
