Tell him you want to finish the one you have already first

"I think I'd better finish this one first," you tell him.

Waylon nods and pushes his own glass back a little so he can rest his arm on the table. Conscious that he is waiting on you to finish, you sip more quickly as the two of you continue to make small talk. Within a few minutes you manage to drain the rest of the glass.
