Tell her the truth

"Better I be honest and not get caught in too many lies. It's enough that I lied at the entrance" you think to yourself.

"Oh, the other entrance. Yes, the girl at the door asked me if I was the new one or something like that. Without really knowing what she meant, I said yes and she let me in. I don't usually do that, but I really wanted to get in." It feels good to tell the truth. But hopefully it won't have too many consequences for you.

The woman looks at you and doesn't make a face. Silently she stares at you for what feels like an eternity. Then she laughs.

She takes the glass and takes a sip, finishing the whole glass in one go. Then she reaches out her hand to you.

"I'm Lizzie and I keep this place running. And you are?"

You shake her hand. Seems to have worked. "Sandra Kane" you answer her.

"Okay Sandra, how do you think? Are you the new one now?"

Didn't she understand you? You already said that you lied to get in here.

"I told you that at the entrance...".

She interrupts you "I know, I know but you could be. The position is still open and you're prettier than the actual applicant. So what do you say?"

If you could get a job here that would be pretty good. That would smooth out the task of finding a place to stay and a source of income. Then you could go straight to looking for IF's and do your actual job.

"What do I have to do here?

"Nothing in particular. You do a little dancing here," she pointed to a metal pole in the center of the dance floor. "maybe work here at the bar some of the time, and most of all, entertain the guests and provide special services."

"Special services." I wonder what that could be. But whatever it is, you need the job and the system suggested this place to you too. So it's better you take it.

"Okay, so I guess I'm the new one."

"Wonderful, I'll show you your room. Follow me."
