Tell her no one was there

You head back upstairs and find Isabella sitting sullenly on a bed, arms crossed and eyes digging a hole into the ground. Seeing you approach from the side, she nearly jumped out of her seat. It looked like she was about to blurt something out, but no words left her mouth.

"He was in his room playing some stupid video game," you lied.

The girl lets out a huge sigh of relief, "Thank you," she said rubbing the back of her neck. "Maybe I'm just paranoid...or a little drunk," she giggled, seeming a bit embarrassed.

"Maybe a bit of both," you smiled back.

She replied to your joke with a little laugh, "I'm sorry, I never got your name."

"Jess," you say.

"Well Jess, let's get back to the party, I owe you a drink."

"Who am I to say no," you reply.

Following her back down the stairs, you hear a loud crash followed by a roar of "Ooooohhhhs" you hear whenever someone eats the floor. Rushing down the steps, you follow the sound of commotion to the kitchen to find Amy lying on the floor in a pool of beer.

"Amy!" you exclaim running to her side. Her dress and hair were soaked, with booze and some of her make up was running down her face. "Amy, what happened?"

Staring at you with a glazed expression, she finally lets out a laugh, "Hey, roomie," she said dragging her hand down your face. "Would you like a drink?" she asked in drunken laughter. Moments later, she turned her head and started to throw up onto the floor.

"Idiot," you say to yourself. "Probably forgot his new, smaller body can't take as much ****." Knowing you can't just leave your friend like this, your torn on what to do. The party was just getting started and if you left now you would have to undoubtedly babysit your trashed room mate for the rest of the night. Taking him back to the room was an option, but so was stuffing him into the most nearby available spare room or closet.
