Team RWBY's room

"Your room, obviously." he said as he opened the door, revealing her sleeping teammates.

"Did we...forget to lock it?" Ruby said, trying to remember.

"I guess?" Cardin said. "Now, I'd get in there before any of them wake up and you have to explain this." He took another look at her. "You can give back the jacket whenever. Don't do that again." Ruby pouted as she felt like she was getting scolded by her dad. Seeing her expression, Cardin sighed.

"But if you do do it again, just don't get caught again, alright?" he said. She looked up at him, laughing a little, and nodded. He nodded back, and waved goodbye as he walked back. She stared at him until he disappeared, then crept inside the room, closing the door as softly as she could. She quickly grabbed her pajamas and ran into the bathroom. As she got dressed, she thought it over.

What was she gonna do about Jaune now that he knew her secret? What about Cardin? Could she really trust him to keep quiet?

Then, she thought about what he had done, even though it had just happened.

Maybe he wasn't that bad after all...maybe.

She finished getting dressed and climbed into bed. She took one last look around, making sure they were all asleep, which they seemed to be, and relaxed, falling into a deep sleep.
