Tanya doesn't take it lying down

“Just how old are you, Al?” Tanya asked skeptically.
“Let’s say thirties,” Allesandra replied casually. “Why?”
“Oh, thought I’d ask. Apparently my investors are VERY moral people, and I wouldn’t want to wind up hiring an underage girl thinking she’s just very underdeveloped.”
“How dare…” Ales started, but Tanya cut her off.
“Who sent you here? Specifically.”
“The don,” she said quickly.
“Really? Sent you alone in a room with me?”
“He said you’re really a weapon fighter. I said your little traps and shit wouldn’t work…”

Tanya’s hand lunged under her desk, popping open a compartment quickly, grabbing a nightstick and thumping the butt of it into Ales’ exposed stomach. The air burst out of her as she doubled over, McVan dropping an elbow over her back to knock her to the carpet.

“Let’s get this straight. I have bodyguards and weapons and shit because I’m rich enough,” she informed. “Not because I’m weak. Also, not every weapon has moving parts, miss clever cunt.”

Ales coughed and held her stomach, glaring at Tanya.

“You’ve got a real set of melons to come after me like this,” Tanya grinned. “Some folks like to just pick up an application.”
“I’m not here to fight your dogs, McVan.”
“Please. You’re somebody dog yourself. You’ve got no right to talk, and NO right to fuck a bitch like me. Now you want in this league or not?”
“What!?”
“I dunno why you’re really here. I’m on pretty good terms with the mob, and have been a long time. I know they’re not all good people, and I may have cheesed them off, but I have my doubts. Even if that’s the case, I like your style. Got a lot of balls for a cunt.”
“Please. I’d never bother with this kind of job.”
“Why? It’s good pay if you play your cards right, and who knows? If what you say’s true, you might get a clear shot at me one of these days if you stick around long enough.”
