Talking in the Restroom

There was a knock on the door leading to the restroom. "Anyone in there?" came a voice. "It's my time."

Toni hustled James out the other door. He hadn't even finished zipping his pants when she latched the door behind him. "Come on," she said to Sarah, taking her by the hand.

They both left through the other door, still topless. "Oh my!" said the woman who was waiting her turn. Sarah blushed, then looked up. It was Professor Kate Donohue, a 45-year-old tenured professor in the department. Sarah wasn't sure but she thought that maybe Kate was checking her out.

Kate went into the booth and they heard the door latch. Toni giggled. "I think she was looking at my tits," she said.

Sarah laughed. "Me too!"

They both put their shirts on, and Sarah said, "I can't believe I just did that. He's my neighbor's kid! How am I going to face him again? Or his parents?"

"Relax," said Toni. "He won't let on. And anyway it's no big deal, I bet your neighbor's done worse."

"Also, I'm pissed about that photo. How could you? He's probably texting that to all his friends right now!"

"It's really no big deal," replied Toni. "All the guys have those photos nowadays. No point being a fuddy-duddy about it."

Sarah wasn't encouraged by this, but didn't want to fight about it. Instead she reached into her purse for her toothbrush.

"No, don't do that," said Toni. "You should taste it the rest of the day -- it'll help your training."

Sarah put the toothbrush away. 'End of an era,' she thought.

That evening, Al was waiting for her at the door with a cocktail. "Oooh, fancy!" she said. "What's the occasion?"

"Just a small apology," he said. "I'm sorry George came to the glory hole again. I tried to stop him, but he wouldn't listen."

"Thanks, Al," replied Sarah. "I appreciate it." She raised the glass as if to toast. "George is a real pig, but I'll get through it. Honestly with the wall between us, he could be anybody, it hardly matters."

"I told him how I hate it, but he just says that if his wife is going to be in a glory hole, then I have to just get used to it too."

"Gloria goes to glory holes?" asked Sarah. Then she laughed. "Gloria glory holes -- funny."

"Yeah," said Al. "Remember the office one a few weeks ago? Turns out it was Gloria in there. It was her idea. And now that's turning into a regular thing, every Friday."

Al looked so unhappy and apologetic that Sarah suddenly felt a wave of pity for him. She could see the toll this was taking on him, and it made her sad.
