Chapter 3 by Jbern Jbern

What's next?

Talk to Julia

Grabbing a bottle of beer, you decide that despite your pounding headache, you shouldn't let it get you down. Its your 18th birthday, for goodness sake, you only get to do this once, and you intend to enjoy it to the fullest. In the room, made remarkably bigger by you moving furniture out, around a dozen people are dancing near the stereo, led by no less than Julia.

Julia had gone all out tonight, dressed up in tight black skinny jeans, black heels and a leather jacket. On a closer look at her, it looked like she had bought some more piercings, with two snakebites on her lips and a ring on her right eyebrow. Turning on her heel, she quick danced over to the stereo, changing the music yet again to the amused groans of the crowd who playfully jeered. In response, a wide grin on her face, she flipped off the crowd as she returned to the middle of them, raising her arms, fully engrossed in the music.

Upon seeing you though, she quickly lowered one of her hands, beckoning you to join her. With a laugh, you do just that, bringing the bottle to your mouth and taking a swig before putting it to one side and making your way over. With an impish grin, she grabs you by the hand and starts to dance with you.

Dancing close to each other, you both meet each other's eyes, and grin helplessly at each other as the music pounds. Oddly enough, you feel your headache start to disappear, despite the music drumming into your ears. The two of you dance for quite a while, you have no idea how much time passes. Only for a few seconds do you both look away for each other, but inevitably you find yourself staring back into her green eyes. And it felt so comfortable too, dancing. Normally, you felt self conscious, but with her, you just couldn't feel it. It was like you were the music, and the music was you, and your movements felt right and natural.

It doesn't dawn on you immediately, but when it does, it hits you hard. The two of you are close, like, really close. Your bodies are practically touching each other, your faces are barely more than a few inches away, and her lips are close and barely open and they just look so kissable.

Time seems to slow down as you stare into each others eyes. Your heart pounds.

What do you do?
