Takes a picture

Nathan raised the camera he had brought, and took a picture. He had forgotten that the flash was on, Gabby could see it through her eyelids. She considered pretending not to notice it, but had a better idea.

"Nathan!" she called, "I think one of the lights in here just burnt out!"

Nathan paused, having just turned the flash off. He crept away, and then called back. "I'll be right there!" True to his word, he came back, this time making enough noise that she could hear him for sure. "Yep, that bulb's burnt out." he said, unscrewing it part way so that it turned off. He looked at her, and wondered what he should do now.
