Take the record

Making sure as to not drop it, Hannah took the record. Standing up, she then exited the bedroom.

She had traveled to the kitchen, where she located a cookbook and looked up recipes. Eventually, Hannah found a recipe for potato dumplings, Mammoth's favorite food.

It took her a long while to make them, and once they were complete, she kept them hot and ready in a warm bag. Once she had finished cooking (and believe it or not, she was good at cooking food on her own, especially since moving out), she returned to his bedroom.

This time, Hannah brought her attention to Mammoth's postal uniform, which didn't have any blood spatters on it. Wait, wasn't his uniform covered in blood when I first stepped into his apartment? She had to know.

From out of nowhere, the white light soon engulfed her, bringing her to a new flashback.

Now standing in an office, which apparently belonged to Mammoth's old boss, she also discovered both of them in a conversation. From the looks of things, his boss didn't seem happy.

"Mr. Peppermint, you have been slacking off for almost a whole year... and you were this close to reaching your second one!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Davidson."

"As much as I don't want to say it... you're fired,"

His mouth hung in shock as his boss's words shook him to the core. Tears had run down his face as he returned home.

By the time Mammoth stepped inside, Hannah showed up via the light. His fists clenched as he scavenged his closet before taking out an **** rifle.

To her horror, his anguish turned into anger as he prepared his weapon, including bringing along a boatload of bullets. Once he was ready, he left, bringing Hannah along with him.

Standing in front of the building where Mammoth once worked, Hannah was confused. But as he headed inside, she heard the sounds of people shouting and screaming.

Hurriedly entering inside, she gasped as she witnessed him shoot down his first victim, collapsing onto his desk. Soon, more of Mammoth's co-workers got shot down, and even the ones that called the police on him didn't have their lives spared.

More screams and cries filled the post office, which had all died down once all the co-workers and even the customers that were present were dead. Mammoth finally turned his attention to his former boss' office.

Kicking the door open, his boss's eyes widened as he stood up. "Mr. Peppermint, what has happened to you?! Have you lost your mind?!" he asked.

"This is what you get for firing me for my laziness!" Mammoth replied.

Before the boss could retort or call the police, a slew of bullets pierced into his body. Within seconds, he slumped to the floor in front of his desk.

Hannah, who had borne witness to all the killings that had occurred, was in shock and horror. Before she could do anything, the light took over her, leaving her in complete darkness.
