Take the job at MicroStuff

The whole reason you got into streaming was because you couldn't find a decent job. So, it looks like streaming got you a job... maybe not the best job in the world but without having to support Amber, who considered your salary to be joint money and her own to be personal money, you can live on what they pay junior programmers and, who knows, you should be able to work your way up. It's not like you're not the best programmer out there.

You call Amber and let her voicemail know that you accept.

An hour later, she texts you a time to meet with MicroStuff HR for an interview.

You end up working for Crystal. You'd had hopes of scoring some action from her but she sees you as an employee and underling rather than as an equal and just exploits your talents to ease her rise in power in the company. Which is not all bad... she makes sure you get promotions when she does... but she also keeps you in a non-dominant position.

Sometimes, late at night, you wonder what would have happened if you'd stuck with the streaming. Could you really have hacked the sim? Someone was afraid of something, that much is true... otherwise they wouldn't have offered you a job back. But Crystal keeps you too busy to spend any more time than those wistful moments.

As for girls... Crystal also keeps you too busy for workouts and you don't seem to run into Jackie anymore, so you're back to your soft-body unstylish self. Girls just don't seem to happen.

Rats.

Maybe you should have stuck with the streaming thing. Sure you weren't making any money but you seemed attractive to girls for at least that brief moment.
