Take out the hunters

The Z'orlock was dangerous and might hunt him now it had his scent. It was stupid and had no personal grudge against him, unlike the hunters and their corrupt, evil, boss. Taking sides was an easy decision.

Jason Grimes kept down low, using the edge of the huge purple beast's pit trap and took aim at the combatants by the jeep.

His first shot was well placed. The leader of the hunting party went down with a smoking hole between his eyes before the survivors knew what was going on.

The hunters reacted well, had they been his men he would have commended both. The woman began to scout around to the west, trying to get into a better position while the surviving man kept the Z'orlock distracted with laser fire.

A few shots later, Jason took down the guy. The second headshot vaporising the back of the man's skull. The body crumpled forward into a heap.

"Hey, hey!" it was the woman shouting, her guard uniform just visible from behind the rusornia bush she was hiding. "If we both get of this alive, I'll let you go!"

Wisely, she was trying to cut a deal.

One of the Z'orlocks furry purple legs swiped through the bush, catching her off guard and throwing her to the ground. "Help me!" she screamed, sounding out of breath. The Z'orlock skittered around again, its bulk between Jason and the surviving woman from the jeep. The monstrous beast now the most dangerous enemy in the fight.
