Take her with you

“Of course you can come with me,” you say soothingly “Whatever has happened we’ll figure it out together.”

Tara seems pleased as she balances on her tip toes and kisses you softly.

“We should probably get dressed though,” Tara says with a sly smile, looking down at both your naked bodies “Never know who else we may bump into, and they might not be as accommodating as you,” she says with a wink.

Nodding your head you untangle yourself from her arms and begin to get dressed. As you dress you watch Tara as she picks out a matching set of pink frilly panties and bra, smiling and humming to herself.

“You seem very happy,” you say to Tara while pulling up your pants “This could be the end of the world after all, aren't you worried?”

“Of course I am!” she exclaims, while pulling her newly acquired pink panties up her skinny pale legs and strapping the matching bra at her back, “But life before… whatever this is was never really happy for me. I'm eighteen years old, only the last few days I've felt free enough to be whom I truly am. Plus, I've found a cute guy who accepts me as the woman I am and wants to protect me. I don’t have to wear a mask to hide who I am anymore. I'm glad I found you Caleb.”

You smile at her explanation, glad that she’s happy. Donning the last of your clothes you think you’re also lucky, extremely lucky that she is the first person you came across. You've seen enough apocalyptical movies and read enough books to know these circumstances can bring out the worst in people.

“How about this?” Tara says, pulling a body hugging full length flowery dress over her head and giving you a little twirl.

“You look beautiful! It was made for you,” you say to her genuinely “but maybe something a little more practical? We’ll have to walk wherever we’re going and you won’t be able to run in that. Too tight around your knees.”

Examining the dress in the mirror and running her hands down her slim body she seems **** to give it up.

“You’re probably right,” she says sadly.

“I have an idea!” Tara says with a wink and walks to the back of the store, out of sight.
