Take her home himself.

After thinking about it for a few moments, Gene decided it might worthwhile to take Jasmine home himself. It might also help as a good PR move, even though Jasmine wasn't Plutonian.

"Jasmine, I can take you home myself, if you'd like." Gene offered.

"Whuh? How?"

"Did you see how I got in here?"

Jasmine shook her head "no." Gene informed her he could teleport magically, albeit Jasmine, as expected, was skeptical. At least until Gene reminded her of his magic trick he performed on his TV broadcast, guessing that that was how Jasmine recognised him when trying to slap him.

"How do I know you're not in on this.... whatever's going on?"

Gene sighed. He'd only been up for a few hours, still having an inconsistent work schedule for a bit longer than anticipated. This was gonna be a long day.

"Jasmine, just 10 minutes ago, I was saying goodbye to my family back home in the States," Gene began as Jasmine looked at him incredulously. "And now I'm dealing with the **** of my government worker all because he cheated on his wife."

"Whoah there. Back up, Mister 'King.'" Jasmine interrupted. "You mean to tell me you were born in the United States?"

"Yes." Gene was terse. Jasmine scoffed. "And as the only human on this island right now, I'd rather not be dealing with this." The expression on Jasmine's face became less dismissive and back to one of worry as she realized Gene may be right.

"...Not even the sweet lunch lady here?"

"Nope."

Jasmine hunched and began rubbing her upper arms. All sorts of thoughts raced through her mind; some of empathy and sympathy, others not so kind. After a few moments, she spoke up.

"Aren't you lonely?"

Both Gene and Adelle visibly reacted. Both knew all about loneliness. Finally, after a few moments, Gene answered.

"All the time, Jasmine. All the time. I'm just hoping it'll be worth it, somehow, some day." Gene looking at Jasmine, saw the concern in her eyes. He could tell she knew about loneliness from experience too. Her eyes were also of a deep amber hue. When Jasmine resumed speaking, Jasmine proved Gene's gut right.

"I know what you mean. In Vegas, its not always the glam you expect it to be. The hottest guy in the world would be fucking me senseless in some flashy hotel bed, and yet... I'd be thinking about the other, less sexy guys I've been with. The long, deep talks. Slower, more intimate sex...

"But every day, ever since that damn Trump came to power... It's been nothing but harassment. Humiliation. Dehumanizing bull... bull..." Jasmine began to struggle holding back sobs.

Gene could tell Jasmine sincerely didn't want to go back, in spite of the fucked up situation Johnathan dragged the poor hooker into.
