Take charge of the situation right away.

Ms. Hayes' angry expression softens instantly as you focus your gaze, and your undeniable suggestion, upon her.

"Good morning, ladies," she says cheerfully. "Now, please don't monopolize Jane's time, we have a lot of work to do today! Oh, but do stop by around noon, I've decided to take my staff out to lunch to celebrate a successful convention!"

Everyone seems absolutely stunned - this is hardly the ****-driver bitch they're familliar with. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, they head back to their desks, murmuring among themselves.

"Could you come into my office for a moment, dear?" Ms. Hayes asks you. "I need to discuss something important with you."

You follow her in.

"Please, sit in my chair," she suggests. You've never sat in her chair before, and it's surprisingly comfortable. What a waste that its normal occupant is generally so stiff. Thanks to you, though, that's not the case today...

"There's something different about you today," Ms. Hayes says as she opens up the liquor cabinet and sets about fixing you a drink. "You seem... vibrant, I suppose."

"I've been in good spirits lately," you respond.

Ms. Hayes hands you your drink and sits down in one of the other chairs. "You know," she says. "If memory serves, you're up on the potential promotion list."

"Yes, Ms. Hayes."

She waves a hand at you. "Dear, call me Lisa. I'm tired of all this formality. You know, as much as I'd hate to lose you as a secretary, you deserve that promotion. I'm going to give you a sterling recommendation. Who knows, by this time next month, we could be working side by side as equals."

"I'd like that, Lisa."

"To us, then?" She raises her own drink, and you toast.

Lisa keeps her eyes focused on you. "I really don't know what it is about me today," she says. "I feel better than I have in years. I just want to let my hair down and go with the moment." True to her word, she shakes her hair out of its tight bun and lets it fall down her back.

All you can do is smile.

"You look different too, Jane" she says. "I mean, don't get me wrong, you were always an attractive woman, but now you're... enticing, somehow."

"And what am I enticing you to do?" you ask suggestively.

She smiles, and stands up to walk around her desk to where you sit. "We both know what I'm talking about," she says, sitting on the corner of her desk. "You know, it's always been my policy not to get personally involved with my co-workers."

You nod.

"I could get into real trouble for this if it ever got out," she continues, reclining on her desk to bring her face down level with yours.

"I'll never tell," you respond, moving in for the kiss.
