Take a walk and find out

I dared to leave my perch, hopping down into the sand and heading further into the beach. The usual crowds were there, both men and women of various ages out to enjoy themselves in the vacation mood. Keeping my eyes open, I casually passed by a small collection of young women sunbathing in a staggered row. At least three of them propped themselves up to give me that same strange look of intensity. I passed by a beach shack, which had a few people mulling about there, sorting out their beach hires and a few more working to set up a volleyball net. All of the ladies there gave me sideways glances, their expressions clearly one of interest, sharp, feminine eyes looking me up and down. I even caught one of them, a busty sun kissed brunette with wide sunglasses, tipping down her eyewear to look in a downward direction, likely at my crotch, her luscious lips parting slightly.

After passing by, I took a look down at my own body to see if there was something on me that seemed out of place. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Just plain old me, dressed for the beach, lean muscled and carefree, or so I thought I was. One way or another, all this attention was somehow warming up down below. It could have been the bulge that was growing in my shorts... Quite embarrassing if that was the case... Deciding to think over the confusion over a soda, I approached one of the many beach bars and sat myself down on one of the wooden stools, in a far corner close to the wall, mulling over the strange events of today. Nothing was making any sense, even while I was sipping the ice cool drink to cool myself down.

My train of thought drilled back to the troll message I received in the mail. Pheromones? Could that be it? I was no expert in biology, so I wouldn't know any more than what the textbooks would say, save for it to not be 'that' effective on a natural basis.

Before I could recall any more than what I learned in my brief tenure in college, I felt a presence approach the bar from behind me.
