Take a look around the apartment.

You decide to get the lay of the land around here. If you're going to be stuck in this place you might as well know your way around.

The apartment is pretty damn big, bigger than any house you've ever lived in. In fact, you suspect that this place takes up the space of the whole floor of this building. You could get lost in this place.
You spend a few hours doing just that. You find the kitchen first, wiping the jizz off your face with some paper towels and getting something to eat.
Then you wander around, finding a pantry, several bathrooms, a frigging billiard room, etc etc... There is even a stairwell labeled 'pool access' but the closer you get to it, the weaker your legs get meaning it's out of bounds. The same with the front door, obviously.
You finally loop back around to the main living room that you've gotten to know so well. Glancing out side, you can see that the sun has made it to the other side of the sky. It'll set pretty soon. Interestingly, throughout all of your explorations of this apartment, you haven't seen a single clock. You did see several places to put them though, nails or hooks on the wall and other such things.
Did Jake really get rid of all the timepieces in his house? Why? Because of you? Is this some kind of gaslighting thing? Christ, that's fucked up.

In fact, it's fucked up enough to drive you to drink.
You decide to get a drink from the bar in the corner. While you're not morally opposed to drinking, it has been some time since you've done it regularly. It's mostly been a matter of finance, really. You barely had two pennies to rub together for so long and spending it on **** never seemed like a good use of your resources.
Jake, however, doesn't have that problem. If he's rich enough to afford to dedicate and entire room of his home to fucking billiards than he can spare a glass or two of scotch. Really nice scotch, by the way.
You try to take it easy but this new body of yours must have a pretty low tolerance because you start to get buzzed off of just a few sips of this stuff. But, it helps you work up the courage (liquid or otherwise) to investigate the one room that you've been saving for last.
