Tail them

These guys are way out of your league, neutralizing a powerful magician and one of the most powerful beings on the planet like it was nothing, not to mention tossing you around like a ragdoll. You consider calling for backup, but there's just no time. You might be able to call in the cavalry later, but if you lose the trail now, you might never be able to find them.

Picking yourself up out of the debris pile, you stagger out into the hallway. There is a glowing purple doorway with a distorted image, kind of like looking at the surface of water on a windy day. The assailants have already passed through the doorway and you can see them walking away on the other side. The edges of the doorway begin to collapse inward. Time is short, so you rush at the door and step through before it closes.

You find yourself in a dark, desolate landscape. Behind you, the doorway fully closes and disappears with a flash and a crackle. You take shelter behind an outcropping of rock on the chance that anyone might turn around and spot you. Getting the lay of the land, there is not a sign of life in sight. A grey rocky and sandy terrain stretches out in every direction. Everything is bathed in an eerie purple light, which is occasionally lit up with a flash of lightning from the clouded sky above. Where the hell are we? You check your phone, but it has no signal and similarly, your communicator replies with only static. Looks like you are on your own.

Glad that you decided to bring your uniform, you strip out of your suit and switch into superhero mode. The area where you appeared looks to be a path of some sort, with several sets of footprints worn into the sand. This makes tracking the kidnappers a little easier as you are able to keep your distance and follow the freshest footprints. Eventually, you can see their final destination: a circular rock formation, reminiscent of Stonehenge. In the middle is an obelisk and a stone altar. You approach cautiously, remaining mostly hidden behind the pillars, but still with a decent view of the scene.

Zatanna is being laid out on the altar. They undo the bindings on her body, but shackle her limbs to the table as she struggles to free herself to no avail. Meanwhile, Supergirl is still out cold. She has been laid slumped up against the obelisk and is chained through a ring protruding from its side. The leader pulls a strap out of his satchel and ties it around Zatanna's neck. It gives off a low red glow when it is fastened.

"The Silencer of Vinesha will prevent you from using your powers," the bearded man finally speaks. "Follow our instructions and you and your friend will be freed. Resist and I will not hesitate to harm the Kryptonian." He removes the gag.

"EKOHC!" she immediately shouts, but the necklace just glows brighter and nothing happens.

"Hahaha Now do you see?" the man gloats. "There is no escape. Not until you have freed my mistress."

"Mistress? You'll have to be more specific. I've banished more than a few of those."

"My mistress is the beautiful Jynarah, slayer of countless men throughout the ages."

"Is she the blue one with the horns? Huh. You struck me as more of a tentacle guy."

"SILENCE!" The man shouts, his voice echoing off the surrounding rocks. "She will be returned to this plane soon enough. And then we will see if you are still so defiant."

"You know she's just going to suck your life **** dry if she comes back, right? That's what she does."

"No. She has given me great power and as my reward for freeing her, I will rule by her side as your pitiful world bows before her."

"Mm hmm. Ten bucks says she eats your soul. And anyways, she's not getting out. You need me to release the seal and that's not happening."

"Partly true. Let's call that, Option A. But there is another way."

For the first time, Zatanna shows a little bit of worry on her face. "You mean...?"

"Yes, I have acquired the Phallus of Akatesh." He pulls out another object from his satchel which appears to be a large golden dildo.

"Okay so you've done some research. Props. But that's not going to do you any good."

"Oh but that's not all. I also have the Clasps of Myridia." This time he pulls out a golden chain with two-no, three clamps attached in different directions.

"Huh. I'm guessing by the smile on your face that you also have the-"

"Cork of Bundera?" He pulls out a smaller phallic object with a large green jewel on the end. "Yes I have that as well." He places the items on the altar. "I'll let you contemplate your fate while my brothers and I finish preparing these grounds for the ceremony. You have until we finish to choose Option A."

For once there is no snippy comeback from the bound heroine. The man and his associates begin drawing designs in the sand surrounding the altar. This might be a window of opportunity for you to act while the men are focused on their preparations. You think about your options:

You could try to take out the men, although at least the leader has shown some fairly high-powered magic abilities. You could sneak around and try to free Supergirl, at least getting her out of harm's way and possibly doubling your firepower against these guys if you can wake her up. Or you can make a move for the altar and try to free Zatanna or at least remove that necklace to allow her to fight magic with magic.
