Surrender

Fear suddenly gripped Calvo.....fear of being alone and hunted on Tau-Ceti Two's cold, alien surface. Better the meagre comforts of the Prison....

Turning, He raised his hands in surrender....but the guards were nowhere to be seen, they had dived for cover in the tumbled rocks, and the other prisoners were huddled in whatever cover they could find. A high whining hiss, and the flit of a shadow over the ground were all the warning Calvo got of the incoming hunterkiller, before it blew him in to his component molecules.
