Joanne turned her head towards Mike, who gave her a puppy-dog grin. "Actually, that would be really helpful." Mike sat beside her, squirted some lotion into his hand, warmed it up a little and then planted his hand firmly onto her back. Peter would never have thought to warm it up. Joanne recognised the actions of a gentleman and relaxed a little.

"I'm going to rub this in quite gently," Mike told Joanne. "Let me know if it is uncomfortable, if it tickles, or you just want me to stop." He placed both hands onto Joanne's back, below her bikini top, and rubbed downwards to the small of her back. His hands circled a little, and then moved upwards and outwards, grazing her sides and then ran over the fabric of her bikini, up to her shoulders.

"Mm. Mike, you are good at this. Have you had any training?" Joanne asked, feeling just a little frisson.

"Helen used to get me to do this alot, but that's in the past."

Joanne regretted asking him. She hadn't meant to bring up thoughts of his ex-wife. She stayed silent as he rubbed the rest of the cream in.

"Well, I've done your back. Do you need your legs doing? And do you want a bikini line if you tan. I won't tell anyone if you just untie it. And I promise I won't peek."

So far, Mike had behaved perfectly. Joanne thought she could trust him, but there was a tiny doubt that she didn't trust herself.
