Suggest he grabs a table

From the panic that was in Stuart's eyes Kayla knew she had to do something. "Why don't you grab a table and I'll bring it straight over to you" she told Jason. Table service wasn't normally available at the Griffin Arms, but she was smart enough to know it was the right option for the situation.

Kayla grabbed a Budweiser from the fridge and a glass before flashing a sympathetic look at Stuart to tell him that everything would be okay, before heading over to give Jason his drink.

"Thanks! I didn't realise you worked here. If I'd known I wouldn't have waited till my second night in town to come over" said Jason. He was lying though, having found out from Kayla's facebook page that she worked here.

"Well until I win the lottery I've got to earn my pocket money somehow" replied Kayla. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was being flirted with, but even with her boyfriend only metres away she didn't mind.

"Well keep up the great service - I'm meeting a girl off Tinder here"

"Well I hope it goes well" said Kayla before she returned to the bar. Deep down she felt a pang of anger that he'd used Jade and then just hours later on a date with another woman. Or was it jealousy that another woman would end up with him?

"What's he doing here?" whispered Stuart as Kayla returned to the bar.

"Breathe easy, he won't be bothering you, he's meeting a girl from a dating site" replied Kayla.

"Ha! I can't wait to see what sort of girl would be interested in a guy like him"

Kayla felt a sense of guilt knowing that the Stuart's little sister was the sort of girl that would be interested in Jason. To avoid giving anything away with her body language she bent down to unload the dishwasher when an unnatural hush fell on the pub. Fearing that she was somehow the centre of attention for everyone in the pub she slowly rose back up to find out why silence had taken hold of the pub.
