Chapter 4
by
Vorhees
What's Susan's best plan of action?
Sue flees to the mountains
Sue fled through the forest, her telekinetic powers boosting her through the air. “I have to get out of this jungle.” Sue thought to herself. “Somewhere I can get a good look around.” Sue caught a glimpse of mountains and headed off in that direction
.
After traveling for some distance, Sue came to the foothills of the Savage Lands mountains. The peaks rose above her, the tips lost in the clouds. Knowing that even a short distance up would give her a good view, Sue floated upwards until she saw a wide shelf overlooking the Savage Lands.
Sue gazed out over the jungle, amazed at how fantastic it looked from a distance, she was sure she could make out some landmarks and would use those to orientate herself.
“Excuse me.” A deep voice rumbled behind her. Sue whipped around, her powers ready to deal with any attacker.
Standing at the mouth of a cave that she was certain wasn’t there before was a bizarre creature. It looked like a lion with front paws that were lion-like, but had longer digits that might act like fingers. Large wings sprouted from its back and instead of a lion head; there was the head and face of a rugged looking man! His hair was the same color of his fur and he sported a neatly groomed beard, he was looking at her intently. “Hold,” he rumbled. “I mean no harm to you, but I must ask you refrain from ****. Why have you come here?”
Not really relaxing, Sue lowered her arms. “My name is Sue Richards and I am in the Savage Land due to an accident. I seek only to return home. Who might you be?”
The creature’s eyebrows rose. “Sue Richards? of the Fantastic Four?”
“Yes.”
The creature smiled and nodded his head. “I have heard much about you and your allies. I am Archimedes of the Grey Sphinx clan. Since you are obviously a hero, I feel compelled to grant you aid. If you wish, my home is yours for as long as you need.”
Grateful for this stroke of luck, Sue smiled in return. “My thanks; I would like to rest a while before I try to return to my friends. I accept your hospitality.”
Archimedes moved to one side and gestured to the cave. “Food and water are available, I am sure that I can help you in your journey.” As Sue entered the cave, Archimedes’s eyes lowered to her rear and he arched an eyebrow.
How does he help Sue?
