Succeed SQ3

His blade burried itself in the bandit's back, throwing him off balance. He collapsed to the ground beside a momentarily wide-eyed Talon. Her hesitation was only brief though. She tore through the remaining bandits as DEBUG_HERO ran to retrieve his sword. By the time he had it back in his hand, Talon was wiping the blood off her daggers.

She nodded at the dead bandit DEBUG_HERO had killed with his thrown sword, "Thanks."

"I did what was necessary. I didn't want to see you die," DEBUG_HERO shrugged off the gratitude. He didn't expect the warmth to last.

"Let's pack up. Sun will be here in two hours," Talon said as she helped his remove the arrow and bandage up his shoulder.

Talon collected her belongings and waited for DEBUG_HERO to pack his tent.

They walked quietly until the sun came up. Talon dropped back to walk alongside DEBUG_HERO for the first time since the start of their journey, "You are a good warrior. Your skill is," she paused searching for the word, "Good."

DEBUG_HERO laughed, "Thank you. You definitely live up to your reputation. I've rarely seen someone so deadly efficient."

Talon nodded her acceptance of his compliment and said abruptly, "I owe you a life debt."

"A life debt?" DEBUG_HERO asked bewildered.

"You save my life. I owe it to you. If you wish, we can go for the map now."

"No! You don't owe me a life debt. I saved you because we are companions. We fight alongside each other and watch each other's backs. If we see danger, we step in," said DEBUG_HERO shook his head stubbornly, "Our original deal stands."

Talon looked down, "I am not familiar with this kind of relationship."

DEBUG_HERO chuckled, "Probably because you never fight alongside anyone."

"Not true. They just betrayed me," Talon cut off and her tone hardened, "No questions."

DEBUG_HERO nodded, "Fair enough. You have me real curious about your backstory though."

"No sharing. I will repay you though," Talon promised.

"If I asked you to share as repayment, would you?" asked DEBUG_HERO.

"Yes."

"Would you be upset with me if I did?"

"Yes."

"Then, I won't do that," DEBUG_HERO promised.

She went back to leading him along. Around noon they came across a stream and Talon called a halt.

"I need to bathe. Blood and sweat," Talon stated. DEBUG_HERO nodded. Talon stared at him and pointed to a bushy area, "I will be right there. Watch my back."

She marched over, briefly glancing back at him before going out of view. DEBUG_HERO stared after her. She had said watch her back. He couldn't decide if she meant it as an insinuation or as a metaphor. She had seemed quite determined to let him know where she would be bathing, so it was possible she wanted him to watch. Though, it could have just as easily been a warning to not go over there. DEBUG_HERO remembered that Talon had seemed quite casual about sex at the start of their trip, but who knows what went on in her mind. She could have been teasing him further about his so called 'harem'. DEBUG_HERO found himself indecisive on what to do. He wanted to see the beauty naked so badly, but he didn't want to risk the little bit of progress he had made with her so far. He just had to make up his mind and go or stay.
