Serris dropped her weapon and wobbled towards her bedroom, to hazy to think of anything but sleep. She collapsed as she reached the side of it, her upper body landing on the spartan mattress as she fell into a kneeling position.

When she woke up, the first thing she noticed was her hunger. She groaned, it was literally hundreds of years since she ate real food. A teleporter and a tiny ecosystem sated her minimal biological needs while in sleep, but it wasn't enough to prepare her for much exertion, much less in the middle of a panic.

It was only after her mouth started to slightly water that she bothered to open her eyes and register that she wasn't in her bedroom anymore. She was on her back, and opened her eyes to a flash of bright orange as she instinctively closed them again at the ****. She sat up, feeling what seemed like grass through her suit's touch replicators. She opened her eyes again, the first thing she noticed was that the grass seemed to be purple. She looked up, seeing a few plants she didn't recognize in front of a gray sky with an orange sun. She wearily stood, looking over the simple landscape. Her stomach growled, reminding her of her hunger. She looked to the odd plants, particularly noticing what seemed to be a tree of sorts.

Straight branches jutted out from the trunk in a few directions, ending in a parasol of leaves pointed at the orange sun. She saw an oval growth hanging from where the branch fanned out. Possibly something she could eat, her hunger-driven impulses suggested. Though weary, enough of her rational mind remained that she kew it might be dangerous to eat from distinctly alien plants.
