Studying a New Spell

Diana sat in her room, reading a new book. “Hmm,” she said. “What’s this?”

She looked at a page that talked about a new spell. Apparently no one knew what it did, but it was discovered written in some ancient texts. “Well now I have to figure out what this does,” she said.

She looked at the word carefully. It was written in Japanese, and she had no idea what it meant, but she did have an idea of how to pronounce it, so it should theoretically still work even if she didn’t know exactly what it did.
