Structures of trust begin to form

After Julian's win, the houseguests all return to getting to know each other as the game is still young and they're all still somewhat new to each other. Later that day, Julian comes out of the diary room asking everyone "Who wants to see my HOH room?". The houseguests all gather as he unlocks the door. Inside, it's decked out like a throne room. The bed is a huge, round mattress decorated in burgundy and gold, matching with the additional furniture scattered around the room. The walls and connected bathroom look to be made of white marble, though in actuality it's just cheap printed wallpaper and linoleum. Still, it's a fitting-looking chamber for the most powerful person in the house. In the room are pictures of Julian's friends and family along with a gift basket of his favorite snacks (pretzel rods and dark chocolate peanut butter cups) and a letter from home. Everyone congratulates Julian on his win before heading their separate ways.

It's Day 3 now, and you've continued to flirt with Daisy Mae the past couple of days. Your connection with her is starting to develop into a physical one with Daisy Mae giving you hugs, playing with your hair, and occasional playful hitting. This morning, she even invited you to share her bed with her. Now that Daisy Mae is on the right path, you want to start developing your relationships with the other women as well.

You, John, are doing squats in the house's workout room when you are joined by Raquel and Victoria. The women both smile when they see it's only you in there, a good sign that they feel comfortable around you. As Raquel gets on the exercise bike and Victoria the treadmill, the three of you start chatting.

John (Diary Room) - "When I first met Raquel, it seemed like she was closed off from the other houseguests, and now that it's been a few days I think I understand why. Raquel is obviously a beautiful woman, but she doesn't like it when people fixate on her looks. I've caught Ethan and Julian staring at her numerous times from across the house, and it clearly makes her feel uncomfortable. I want to work with Raquel in this game, so I need to show her that she can come to me and just have a regular conversation whenever she needs to. It sounds simple and obvious, but small gestures like that can go a long way towards building trust with someone."

As you, Victoria and Raquel continue talking, you start to learn more about these ladies. Raquel went to college for one year before dropping out to take care of her sick grandmother. Even though it was the right decision at the time, Raquel regrets not finishing her degree, and she's been saving money over the past several years to go back to school. You ask what her goals are, and she says she wants to get a business degree and open her own dance studio. Raquel asks Victoria how she started her cosmetics company, and Victoria reveals that she didn't have any aspirations to run a business when she was younger. She married a wealthy man when she was 19 and thought her life was set until she caught him cheating on her. She could have just sat on the money she won in the divorce settlement, but she realized that she wanted to pay it forward instead. The two ladies continue talking through business plans as you listen and engage with their conversation. By the time you're all done working out, you can tell that both ladies enjoyed your company and are beginning to trust you.

As the initial buzz of the house begins to settle, the houseguests start to form small groups of the people they most easily get along with, developing factions within the house of people who could work together in the game. Roxy, Isabel and Ellie link up and discuss forming an alliance together. Eugene starts trying to make a move on Alina, and she plays into his affections. Julian and Liam connect over their shared military upbringing. Daisy Mae and Ethan start to develop a fun-loving brother-sister type bond. Derek, Danielle, Chirag and Marcus all start to bond while talking to each other about their kids. All the while, Julian sits and observes these conversations from the monitor in the HOH bedroom, pondering who he should nominate for eviction.
