Streaking Past Cutter

Barbara knew Cutter had lost in her pursuit of the vehicle, so she ran back to see where she was and got her attention by standing in front of her car. She kept her face and voice distorted.

"Get out of the road, freak or I'm gonna arrest you for public indecency!" Cutter ordered.

"If you want to catch the bad guys you were chasing earlier, follow me." Barbara said, speeding away.

Cutter saw a blur run away from her, and wondered how she would be able to follow that, but then the same blur was coming back, and then away again. She was leaving a blurry trail to the warehouse downtown. Cutter arrived at the scene and saw all the men ****, save for their leader El Guapo. True to his name, he was an attractive man, but the way he was presented, she had to turn her head away to disguise her smile.

"What the fuck?" She was able to squeak out.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to do...THAT..." Barbara explained.

"It's alright. Looks like you didn't hurt him too badly. Can't say the same for his pride. I'll call this in, and he'll be booked and processed in no time." Cutter said.

"Thanks." Barbara said.

"No, thank YOU!" Cutter said.

Before anything else could be said, Barbara ran away in a blur of bare skin.

"Wait! What do I call you?" Cutter said, but she was gone.

Cutter got back to the station and found Barbie filing some papers away.

"Sorry you missed the excitement, but ai needed you here and safe." Cutter explained.

"Hey, no problem. They hardly noticed I was here. Almost like I want here at all!" Barbara said.

"Cutter!" The captain shouted.

Cutter turned around, and saw that he wanted to speak with her in his office. She followed him in, and shut the door Bertie coding the blonde on every window.

"What is this about, sir?" Cutter asked.

"Hrrm... Is it true?" He asked.

" Is what true?" Cutter wasn't following.

"The fast streaker! Is it true?" He asked again.

"How did you...?" She began.

"El Guapo said some naked chick who is really quick was able to get the drop on him and his men. Most of us are thinking it's a story to cover up the embarrassment of how you found him." He explained.

"No sir, I can say with absolute certainty that she is real. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have been able to find him." Cutter said.

"Wow, what an age to be alive. We have a bonafide superhero in our midst! I'm gonna call the papers, and let them know. The public needs to know that there's someone out there helping us. Someone who calls themselves the...she didn't give you a name, did she?" He asked.

"No sir, she didn't."

"What should we call her? The Blur? No, too vague. The Flash? No, that makes her sound like a deviant. The Streaker! That sounds good." He said.

"What about The Streak? That way, we wont have a Streaker Rally when we celebrate her achievement." Cutter explained.

"Right, too many drunk frat boys might get the wrong idea. The Streak it is. Make sure you out that in your report!" He ordered.

"Yes sir!" Cutter said, leaving his office.

Cutter stayed late to finish her w, but Barbara left since she had nothing else to do. She went home, and wondered what the next day had in store for her. Imagine her surprise when she got her morning newspaper to see the headline read "El Guapo Caught by The Streak!"

It was a detailed article of how a naked woman helped the police apprehend the notorious Gangster. Barbara couldn't believe it! The world knows about her power, and she was a hero! She just hoped she could keep it up while being a detective.
