What's next?
Stop the Logic!
“Too blonde; almost yellow,” Kim frowned, letting go of her more reddish hair.
“Aw! I should at least be strawberry blonde!” Veronica whined.
“Kim found a reason to smile, “You’re right! And that’s the good news! It means the Ron in you prefers blondes, not Jessica Rabbit’s red hair.” Unlike her dad. He was staring at her hair (when he wasn’t unconsciously sneaking glances down her cleavage and legs in their fishnet stockings). “It means, Veronica, you do not have to be an exact copy of Jessica. The question is, how much of a copy of her am I going to be. This red hair I now have is bad news.”
She snapped her fingers. It took a couple of snaps. “Dad. Dad! That’s why I have to wear this bunnysuit. Have to. You see, I have my own ideas about Jessica. Ron has different ones. By humoring Veronica’s ideas, of her, and of Roger Rabbit, the push-and-pull tension between our different ideas, between the Jessica and Roger in both of us, allows the real me, Kim Possible, exist between them. It allows me some sanity.
“The movie said it; the man who became ‘Judge Doom’ was insane. His buttoned-up, experimenter's ‘People Logic’ wouldn’t allow him to cope with the whitewater rapids of his Toon Logic. He tried to swim against the current, and he couldn’t. And he became evil. To keep my People Logic I have to not fight it, but swim with the current, try to not get bashed against the rocks and find the river bank of human stability. I must accept being a toon so it doesn’t overwhelm me.” She moved her dad’s face away from her hair and her 34C-22-34 body towards Veronica’s. “And I have to be there to keep her from drowning. Ron’s mind has always been somewhat Looney Toons.”
“Hey! I can swim with the current, too! That’s what I do best as your sidekick!” But Veronica was demonstrating this by doing swimming motions in a miniskirt. If she were any more toony, both legs would be off the floor, rather than just that one shapely one. And what her arm motions did to the barely contained boobs was a pretty sight James Possible, as a moral man, knew he shouldn’t be gawking at.
James Possible pulled himself together. “Well, as a rocket scientist, I have access to all sorts of chemicals. I will get some of the Dip that’s in the movie. You can use it against any toons that try to contaminate you two even more than you already are.”
“Dad, the Dip is painful. Wade says it removes from a toon the pain of our reality. That pain has to go somewhere. That means people are hurt. In fact, the more a toon has taken away the pain of our reality, the more pain is returned to reality. And once a toon can no longer absorb pain, it can no longer exist in our reality.”
“Wait, Kim!” Veronica cried out. “What do you mean a Dipped toon ‘can no longer exist in our reality’?!”
“It means: If we get the Dip on us, we can no longer remain here. We will be exiled to Toontown. Possibly never escaping. We would be full Toons, and never People, again.”
“Is Cool World a part of Toontown? Or ChalkZone! Fritz the Cat, or …”
“Stop drowning, Ron.”
Remain here, or go somewhere else?
