Julie made her way down the hall, making sure not to look back. She had no idea if Steve would want more. One part of her didn’t want to bump into him on the way out, then another part of her wanted nothing more than to bump into him again. At the end of the hall was a tall oak door with the words “mail room” printed on a small plate. She reached out and opened the door. Sarah slipped into the room with her eyes zooming back and forth, looking for the right mailbox. Her eyes soon brightened up when she saw the name “Mr. Horton,” below one of the upper mailboxes. Sure enough there was a large brown envelope in the box, it was the only piece of mail.

“YES, there you are!” she shouted with excitement as she started toward the grid of boxes.

Suddenly to her surprise, a man stood up from behind the desk only a few feet in front of her. He had a small bag of trash in one hand and a trash can in the other. “Yes… here I am,” he said. The older janitor had almost scared Sarah to ****. ‘Oh great, here we go again,’ Sarah thought to herself.
