Chapter 20 by StormHarem StormHarem

Next?

Stealing a servitor

You enter your ship and wait for Athena to return.

"(John?)" Flora shuffles into the control room where you sit. All of her hands are clasped together, she stands with her weight on her toes and her eyes fixed on the ground. "(I know that only recently I asked for more Ether, but I think I need more... There is enough for a few days, but that's about it.)"

You sigh and stand. "(I'll get you some.)" You reach your hand into your pocket and count what you can bargain with, tossing them around with your fingers.

Flora gives you an innocent and sincere hug. You would have never guessed that ether was so important to the Fallen.

As you leave your ship you adjust your pants to better hide your now half-erect cock. You don't know what it was about that innocent Eliksni that caused you to well with lust, but you really didn't have a problem with it.

You make your way to The Drifter's dwelling, on your way you meet up with Lilly.

The two of you walk together, and you listen as Lilly forms plans for another expedition with The Drifter.

"Well look at this." The Drifter flips a coin which vanishes into his palm. "My two favorite people just walked in." He tosses the coin at Lilly with his other hand, using his first one to pull another coin from behind his ear. "What can ol' Drifter do for you?" He flips the coin into his regular flipping hand. "I want that coin back, Lilly." He points at her.

She flips the coin back to him. "I was just trying to recycle some of these synths." She holds out a handful of white synths. "My purse is emptying pretty quickly." She chuckles.

"Sure thing, sister." He takes the synths from her. "What about you? Brother."

You shrug as you ask for more ether.

"Already? That junk isn't free y'know."

You sigh. "What can I do for you?"

The Drifter laughs. "There's a lot you could do for me. Will it pay for my ether? Probably not."

"You're smart, right?" Lilly asks with a snicker. "Think you could rewire a servitor?"

The Drifter chuckles. "That's a good idea." He takes a few steps towards you. "Considering what he's done... That's an easy job."

You shrug. "The hard part is getting to one without dying."

Lilly laughs. "I've got you."

The Drifter claps and continues his approach. "You two are great. I'll tag along too."

"On me then?" Lilly asks.

You and The Drifter both nod.

You board Lilly's ship with The Drifter and hope that nothing bad will happen this time.

"Alright." The Drifter claps as he spins around his chair. "Let's grab the biggest one we can! Drifter could use an ether supply at home."

Lilly laughs. "This isn't for you."

The Drifter leans over and gives your arm a slug. "He'll help me out. We scratch each other's backs around here."

Lilly nods. "Got that right."

The ship soars, lighthearted conversation passed the time on its way to Titan.

"We're hear." Lilly's ghost says as the ship lands.

You exit the ship behind Lilly and The Drifter who carelessly walk out onto the rig.

"You guys stay here, I'll scout ahead." Lilly says before running with impressive speed out of sight.

The Drifter leans against a nearby wall. "Shouldn't take too long. The rig here is crawling with Fallen." He removes the hand cannon from his belt. He spins it on his finger. "Be careful though. Hive lurk around here too."

"Got one!" Lilly's voice breaks through a static in your ear. "I'll thin the herd, just make your way over here."

The Drifter outstretches a palm. A ghost materializes. It stares at you with a burning red eye. You watch as it floats its way around The Drifter, a failed attempt to hide itself from your eyes. "Alright ghost, show me where to go."

He turns his head slightly before the ghost vanishes. He gestures for you to follow him as he starts jogging.

You arrive at the site of the Battle and watch as Lilly jumps high into the air and throws a knife into the head of the last remaining Fallen around.

She looks over and waves to you and The Drifter.

The only remaining thing in the area besides your group of three is one captain's servitor.

It fires a blast at Lilly, but she deftly rolls out of the way.

You were sure this wasn't its first attempt.

The Drifter laughs. "Come on, your crew's dead. Just give up already!"

You rip some plating from the body of a nearby dreg and hand it to Lilly. "Think you can use this to cover its lense?"

She takes the plating from you. She uses a knife to cut the hood of a marauder into several strips. She ties the strips together. "This might be able to wrap around that thing."

The Drifter seems to playfully distract the **** servitor.

Lilly throws a smoke bomb at the ground, she vanishes entirely from sight, reappearing next to the servitor. She rolls in front of it and slides under it, she then jumps over it and positions the plating over the lense before tying a sturdy knot. She smacks the servitor. "Can't do much now, big guy."

She pats your shoulder as she walks by you. "Do your thing, smartass."

The Drifter tosses you a few tools.

You carefully pry the lense from the servitor. It falls to the ground after colliding with the plating. The Servitor spins frantically. You wait for it to give up before continuing.

You remove the plating and examine the inside of the servitor.

You switch off several nodes before reattaching the lense.

The light that is usually purple now shines an empty gray color.

You direct it in the Eliksni tongue to serve you and the two you are with until it meets its first Eliksni female, then it is to serve her exclusively.

The light turns blue before returning to purple. The servitor slowly spins around before following you with its lense.

You, Lilly, and The Drifter walk back to the ship, the servitor floating behind you.

When you arrive back at the hangar Lilly and The Drifter set things up so that you can transfer the servitor to your ship without being seen.

You enter your ship alone with the servitor.

You enter the control room with the servitor behind you. Lilly turns to you and then hops excitedly before springing to you. The servitor's lense turns blue, then back to purple.

"(How did you manage to get this?)" Flora asks embracing you in a warm hug, tightly held with all of her arms.

When the embrace breaks you pat Flora's head. "It's nothing you need to worry about." You pat the servitor above its lense. "Try and keep it in your quarters. Please."
