Stay the night

"Well..." Garrett begins "We might as well just stay here for the night. We're basically surrounded by Zeds, we're both sore from our injuries, but" he shakes his index finger towards Hannah "We are safe in here for the time being."

"I did have a 2-way radio in my jeep which I can reach my group with." Hannah continues "So hopefully tomorrow this herd will be gone and we can go get that."

"Shouldn't they be looking for you anyway?" you question

"Yeah, they will be..." Hannah hesitates "But...I always go much further then I'm suppose to." she pauses a second "sooo, I doubt they'll find me" she chuckles

Garrett couldn't help but smile at Hannah, she's such an enjoyable person to be around. Just so...easy going.

"Ummm...Hey Hannah?" Garrett asks

"Yeah Garrett?" she replies

"Look...I've been..." he stumbles on his words "alone since this shit began. And...well...when I saw you." He hesitates "You're just such a inviting person, you really are. You didn't know who I was, didn't know what I was, but still took a chance with me. When you invited me to come with you it's just like...I couldn't say no."

"Please don't start crying on me now" Hannah jokes as she shakes her head back and forth

"Stop..." Garrett chuckles "and well...when you started driving I guess I just...well...started freaking out. I mean, a whole group of people? Was I too gullible? Was I too entranced in you that I'd follow you wherever..."

"I do have that effect on people" Hannah interrupts

"Will you just listen!" Garrett snarks back at her

Hannah just sticks her tongue out at him.

"I guess all I"m trying to say is that...err...well...is that I'm sorry."

Hannah smiles "Garrett...to be fair, that took longer than 30 seconds." She pauses for a second, eyeing the handgun she's still holding "Soooo, I should probably still just shoot you." she winks which is shortly followed by a light laugh.

The two continue to talk through out the evening, getting to know each other better and better. Eventually the sun is starting to set and rather then keep lights on indicating to the outside that there are alive people in the bakery, they decided to call it a night early. They both go into the office, making sure the doors are closed securely and haul in some larger towels to use as blankets.

"The cot for the queen" Garrett motions his hand

"You're such a dork." Hannah rolls her eyes "But...a thoughtful dork none of the less!"

Hannah lays down in the cot and throws a towel over herself all the while Garrett puts a few towels down on the tile floor to try to make it comfortable before laying down himself.

The two slowly start to fall asleep as the sun finally sets.
