Chapter 20
by
The Archmaester
What is your decision?
Stay in Essos
As I studied the giant map of Essos I remarked that its eastern borders had yet to be fully mapped out. All that is known of the mysterious Shadow Lands is the even mysterious city of Asshai, a cursed land of **** and sorcery.
The dragonlords of Old Valyria failed to submit all of Essos under their rule with the Golden Empire of Yi Ti even challenging their wealth and power. Aside from the Seven Kingdoms, Yi Ti is the largest and most powerful nation in the world ruled by a single God-Emperor. But before I can teach the YiTish the meaning of a true God-Emperor I would first have to **** the proud city of Qarth to submit to my rule.
On the western coast of Essos lies the Nine Free Cities, former colonies of the Valyrian Freehold. Volantis, the largest and proudest of them, lies closest from Dragon's Bay. Uniting them under my reign would reinstate House Targaryen as the head of the New Valyrian Empire.
However Essos and Westeros were not the only continents in this mysterious world. Many explorers have trekked the continents of Sothoryos and Ulthos and none have lived to tell their tale. Exploring these unknown worlds and conquering civilisations that none have dared to, was just as exciting as sitting on a cold chair made of burnt swords. And while the lords of Westeros tore themselves apart, I would succeed where no one has: I will conquer the world.
