Blair stood there frozen for a few moments. She could feel the power that pulsated from the two beams of power-hitting each other between the two casters. She kept her eyes on the two of them as for the moment they were too focused on the other person to notice her. She could just as easily walk away but she shook her head as she started to look around before a popup appeared.

Without thinking she accepted the quest before she quickly glanced around. She looked over by the **** woman by the register and because she had only glanced at her before she had not noticed the shield near the woman's head. Using her ability to make less noise she quickly and quietly made her way over to the woman. She glanced up and saw that they still did not seem to have noticed her. She figured that as long as she did not make any moves to attack either of them they would pay her no mind. She was after all a low-level character. The backwash from their powers could kill her. She took a short breath being mindful of not making any more noise as she reached down and picked up the shield. She cast observe on it.

Well, it was not a weapon but it was better than nothing. She made sure to equip it to her left hand. She could feel the weight of it in her hand. This was a high-quality item but she knew that she was not going to be able to wield it properly or use it to attack. It had other powers and abilities but because she lacked the requirements she was only able to use the base protection. She could tell that it would not work for beings that were evil or undead. She looked up before she snuck around and hide behind the counter as she made her way around towards the backside of the Lich. Sure she had a defensive item but what the hell was she going to do? Run up and hit the creature in the back with a shield that she could not wield properly?

She thought to her days of playing video games as well as those based on tabletop RPGs. An idea came to her. She had mana so why not try and recreate a magic missile. Though perhaps with some help from the selection of anime she has watched as well. She took a shallow breath before she stood up while holding the shield up to protect herself. She raised her right hand up and held it forward with her palm facing the creature. She took a few shallow breaths as she tried to focus all of her mana towards her hand. She gritted her teeth as she focused. A few moments later she could feel her magic start to rush towards her hand.

Deals 10 Arcane damage. (Increase of 5 damage per 5 extra mana consumed to empower the magic missile.)

Without thinking about it she poured forth all of her magic into this one attack. She knew that she was not going to be able to kill this creature with one hit. Though perhaps like a desperation move in an anime used to buy the other guy just enough of a distraction to help him destroy this vile creature. When her mana hit zero she winced before she shouted, "MAGIC MISSILE!"

She could feel her arm being thrown back from the **** of the magic missile leaving her hand. She had just gained this ability and she had used up all of her magic to fuel it. She watched it streak across the distance and hit the Lich square in the back. There was a flash of light as she dealt a total of 120 damage to the creature. She could hear a hiss come from the creature. It barely turned its head away from the Wizard. "A foolish fly has bitten me. I was going to save you for later but I guess you want to die now." The Wizard gritted his teeth. "GET OUT OF HERE YOU FOOLISH GIRL!"

The Lich brought moved his right hand and pointed it at Blair. "**** BEAM!" A large purple beam shot at her. The only thing she could do was raise the shield up and block the beam with it. She gritted her teeth as she was pushed back till she had to put one foot on the wall to keep from being shoved against it. She could feel pain throughout her entire body. It felt like her entire body was on fire and melting at the same time. A loud scream echoed through the air. This ordeal seemed to go on forever.

It was when the shield shattered in her hands that she thought the end was here. But the beam seemed to stop. Her vision at this point was blurry and it was hard for her to see or hear. She teetered from side to side before the ground came rushing up to meet her. She let out one final groan as the darkness welcomed her.
