Starter Pokémon

As the group followed Professor Morningwood, Tiffany and Eva kept shooting each pther dirty looks and snarky remarks.

“You might as well go home runts! The other trainers will eat you girls alive!” Eva whispered.

“Screw you Eva! I won’t let you ruin this for me!” Tiffany whispered back.

While they were bickering, Hailey looked like she was about to cry. “P-please stop fighting! You’re making me nervous!” She whispered, trying not to cry in front of the other girls.

“What? Baby gonna cry?” Eva replied mockingly.

“What the hell is your deal today?! Seriously!” Tiffany asked loud enough for others to hear.

“Ladies!” Professor Morningwood shouted, grabbing their attention. The professor had led them to a strange machine with a conveyor belt. “So anyways… now you girls will receive your starters. Most Professors let new trainers see the Pokémon first before they pick, which in my opinion is wrong. I want you girls to have a pure experience with the partner I give you, free of judgement and personal bias. This machine is connected to my Pokémon storage system over the PC. In it, I have thousands of worthy candidates waiting for a new partner. You girls are going to receive one at random and your challenge is to make it to the Pokémon League with your partner by your side. So, who’s first?” the professor smiled and gestured toward the machine.

As Tiffany stepped forward, she was immediately shoved out of the way as Eva strutted toward the professor. “I’ll go first! I’m feeling lucky today!” she smirked as she approached the machine.

“Okay Eva, let’s see your new partner!” the professor smiled as he pressed a button on the machine. Suddenly, a Pokéball materialized and rolled down the conveyor belt toward Eva. She picked up the Pokéball, smirked, and pressed the button before tossing it in the air. In a flash of light, the Pokémon appeared.
