Stairs

The elevator was always slow. Better to get down and out before the crowd got any bigger. Speed was the most pressing concern and the stairs were faster. Jenny only paused the briefest of moments before making her decision and darting for the stairs and starting down.

She'd only passed the first landing when she heard them: a rush of people coming the other way.
