“There’s a disturbance in the Force...” Wes said as he readied his weapon too.
Space Horror
Hi, everyone! Zewsman here! I know its been a hot minute since I updated this story. Don't worry, I am not dead nor did I abandon this story. Turns out, Covid hit my work hard and I ended up covering a lot of shifts, which tends to cut out of my "writing smut for the internet" time. Good news tho, work is back to normal so I am once again writing for SWTOR and The Gamer! So enjoy!
“WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING?!” yelled Alema as she and Wes raced through the patchwork hallway and staircase that remained of the ancient Rakatan space station.
“I don’t know, but the Force barely works on it!” replied Wes as he continued following Alema through the station. A piercing shriek echoed through the halls as the creature chased after the two. It was quickly catching up to the two Sith thanks to its ability to float above the ground. The sharp claws on the ends of its hands were raised up, ready to slash the back of either Sith, whoever got closest.
“It’s almost close enough to Force Grab again, do it now!” ordered Wes as Alema turned on the balls of her heels and used Force Push to hurl some debris at the advancing creature. While Alema pummeled their assailant with whatever she could find, Wes ran past her to take the lead. Once he was past her, Alema threw one more piece of the station, a large piece of metal, at the creature before she began to run to catch up to Wes.
“That’ll slow it down for a few minutes,” Alema said as she caught up to Wes.
“Slowing it down isn’t my priority, killing it is,” Wes said as he followed the narrow corridor’s only way.
“And how do you plan to do that?” asked Alema. “With the whole resistance to the Force, sharp claws on its hands, it’s ability to fly, and, oh yeah, a scream that can stun anyone who hears it!” listed Alema, who knew the idea was ridiculous.
“At least I will go down fighting, like a true Sith, not a fake Sith like you!” retorted Wes.
“Why you… insolent nerf herding son of a bantha!” yelled Alema. “I am just as much a Sith as you are! Some of the best Sith were former Jedi!” countered Alema. “Or do you forget the powerful Darth Revan? Or that the original Sith Lords were all former Jedi?!” asked an angry Alema.
“Don’t insult my intelligence!” Wes roared back. “I am well aware of the history of the Sith! My parents made sure of it! Maybe I should just leave you for the creature while I escape,” Wes said purposely to anger his companion.
“Why you...I WILL KILL YOU!” shouted Alema as she summoned the Force to move even faster. Wes took this opportunity to spin around and use the Force to collapse the corridor walls that were now in front of him. As Wes reached out with the Force to tear the bulkheads from their spot, he saw their pursuer flying towards him at full speed. It’s arms twitched, ready to slash at him once in range.
A shriek unlike anything Wes had ever heard before rang into his head, attempting to debilitate him before he could complete his task. Instead, Wes just focused his anger at the creature into the Force to increase his abilities. Unfortunately it was not enough as his enemy was going to reach him before he could collapse the tunnel. As the creature lifted its left hand to use Force Pull to bring its prey to it, a piece of metal bashed into the side of its head. A ghostly scream leaves its sharp teeth filled mouth as another piece of debris hits its skeleton-like stomach.
“Quickly! There’s not much left to throw at that thing!” Alema ordered as she hurled what little debris remained near her. As he left out a groan of pain, Wes used the rest of his strength to tear the bulkhead apart. The explosive decompression quickly pulled the monster into the cold of space while Alema used the Force to pull Wes into the room she was in before the emergency bulkhead came crashing down, which would have trapped the young Sith in the hallway and eventually in space.
Alarms began to blare as lights flashed in the room the two Sith had retreated to as the corridor collapsed and the bulkhead came down. The two prepared for another assault as multiple security personnel flooded the room.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?!” roared the commander of the security group, gun raised at the two as their hands rested on their lightsabers.
“I’m so glad you’re here!” Alema said in a soft voice as she raised her hands up in a non-threatening manner. “We were attacked by some sort of strange creature!” she told the Republic troops, using the truth to further their lie.
“What?! We’re in a highly restricted area of space in a secure base! Who or what could have attacked you out here?!” asked the commander, clearly not believing a word the twi’lek was saying.
“It was a space wraith. The creatures pirates speak of when their ships break down in the middle of space. You know what I speak of, yes?” asked Wes as he followed Alema’s lead.
“You expect me to believe that?” the commander asked, still not trusting of the two Sith.
“The creature was tall, maybe 2 meters tall, but it hovered above the ground, so that may have thrown off my estimation,” started Wes as he began to describe the creature.
“It was thin, very thin, like I could see the outline of its bones thin,” Alema jumped in.
“It had white hair that matched its cold, white eyes. Eyes that only showed hatred and a need to kill us,” continued Wes.
“It had razor sharp teeth to match the razor sharp talons on its hands and feet. Talons that nearly got us a few times,” Alema informed the security guards as they started to believe the two and lowered their weapons in response.
“And worst of all… it could use the Force,” informed Wes.
“And it seemed to want to kill us because we used the Force,” concluded Alema. The entire room stood silent as everyone processed the description of the creature that attacked the two Force users, that forced them to destroy part of the base just to survive its attack.
“That...” started the commander as he thought of what to say, “I believe you,” was all he said before he turned around and left. The other soldiers followed suit, leaving the two Sith alone.
“We need to get to the control room and get out of here,” said Wes, who broke the silence between the two.
“Yeah… let’s finish our mission and get the hell out of here,” Alema said, her normally cheerful tone completely gone. The two continued on their way through the remaining path to the main hub of the facility. There they saw some of the security personnel as well as various scientists who were working on various secret projects using what remained of any Star Forge technology.
“All this security will make it troublesome to escape,” Alema said in a hushed tone to Wes.
“I agree. But perhaps we can cause some sort of distraction on the opposite side of the facility that leads to the docking bay. Chances are, we’ll have to play this by ear once we get the data,” decided Wes as the two continued along their path.
“Agreed,” Alema said as she looked around the hub they were at. “This way,” she said as she took the lead and headed down a path.
