Somewhere in the Middle East

"We are somewhere in the Middle East, Ms. Perry. This is a very dangerous area for Americans, of course, so I will have to ask that you stay inside the bus until I return."

"This is a USO tour we're on is not, Mark?" Katy asks Mark, "I know it's dangerous, but if I can make to a camp that our soldiers are stationed at, I'd like to make a surprise visit."

"Please take an escort with you Katy," Mark tells her, liking the idea but wishing she'd be more careful, "I'm sure I don't have to tell you that an American celebrity such as yourself is a high-value target for kidnappers."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Katy tells him, just to move the conversation along, telling him she will be sure to be careful as he leaves to find a mechanic somewhere in the war zone.

As Katy exited the bus, she knew she began walking up the dirt road toward what she knew was an American base.

But it wasn't just American eyes that were following every her every move.
