Chapter 76 by VixxTheLover VixxTheLover

Why can’t things just be good for a while?

Sometimes they can with a little work. Sometimes with a lot of work.

Vixxen got a room at a motel, needing to get some sleep for a long drive home. She needed to clear her head.

She got home the next day, to the house she shared with Jack, and it now felt lonely. She felt terribly alone.

Jack had texted her and called her, but in her anger on the long drive home she had ignored them.

The more Vixxen thought about how weird things were down there, the more she understood.

She had done so much that was outside of the normal in her life.

She had fucked her biological father, the man who raised her, and she had done it for over two years. And Jack had not judged her for it.

A lot of her life wasn’t normal, but had in the end seemed normal. She had fallen in love with a man who was in his mid sixties when she was barley eighteen. She had fallen for a childhood friend, getting into a lesbian love affair she had never planned, and the two of them had shared many men and women.

And then her work, her life as a sex worker. She had fucked almost every boss she had ever had. The asshole at Hooters, and her manager at one of the strip clubs she worked at. By this point it just seemed normal.

She had sucked the dicks of strange men, men she had never met and might never meet again when her manager told her to. Who does that?

She had attended dozens of parties held for the strippers she worked with, and had participated in sexual adventures that belonged in porn movies.

If anyone should understand something getting sexual and getting out of control, it needed to be her. It had to be her.

Jack was not a bad man, he was a good man, a great man. He had literally saved her life. He had put his own life in danger to save hers. He had lived her knowing what those people had done to her.

She decided she had to forgive, she had to. She did love Jack, and Jack loved her. People forgave the people they loved.

She had asked him to give up his life and had been unwilling to give up hers. Maybe they could meet in the middle.

Vixxen called Jack, and he answered quickly, but n a very sleepy voice.

“Hey there Jack,” Vixxen said in a kind tone. It was a bit ****, but she had to find a middle ground.

“Vixxen! Hey there babe, I am so happy to hear your voice, you don’t even know...” she could hear his pain. Jack was a man of confidence, he always believed in himself, but right now he didn’t sound like that man at all.

Listen babe, about last night,” Vixxen replied. Jack started to interject but she cut him off, “please give me a chance to say what I need to say.”

“Ok,” Jack replied, his tone that of a man who knows it is over. She could hear him breaking down on the other side, this wasn’t what she wanted. Why was it so hard to say what she needed to say? And he was the strongest man she knew, he had walked into gunfire to save her, he had kept his cool when others around him didn’t. How was losing her breaking him up?

“Jack, I love you,” Vixxen continued, after a very brief pause, that to Jack seemed like a year of waiting. “I love you baby, and I forgive you. People make mistakes, I make plenty, you make plenty.”

Jack started to interject again, starting to apologize, and Vixxen cut him off. “Would you cut that shit out Jack? I love you, I am not going anywhere, I will be here when you get back, in our home baby.”

Vixxen was startled by the scream on the other side, now Jack was beside himself enough that he was starting to sob. He truly did love Vixxen, as much as he ever had anyone, and he never thought this could happen. He never thought he would love again, and he had thought he had lost Vixxen forever.

“Unless I am at work when you get back, but our home is where I will come home to Jack, I promise.” Vixxen continued, feeling better as she spoke. “We both make mistakes, but we did not make a mistake on us, you did not make a mistake on me, I did not make a mistake on you baby.”

“I know that we are not a mistake.”

Jack wasn’t answering, but Vixxen could hear his labored breath, she could hear his emotions tearing at him.

“I love you baby, see you soon ok?” Vixxen continued. “Get some sleep, and call me when you get a chance tomorrow. I have a few days off from work.”

She knew Jack wasn’t going to be back for a while, these operations down at the border could last weeks. But she hoped he would be back soon.

“I love you Vixx, I love you so much baby,” Jack replied in a strained tone. “Talk to you soon, I promise.”

Vixxen has a glass of wine and a light dinner, and then a stretching session and some yoga. Then she had a long relaxing bath, with the bubbling salts she had, and some incense burning by the bath.

She thought about Jack, and all they had experienced, with such a tragic and hard beginning to their time together. With all of the challenges of a cop being with someone who was a sex worker.

Finally she went to bed, naked as she often did, and held Jack’s pillow against her as she slept.

Vixxen woke up deep into the night and she remembered having had a very happy dream. She smiled wide, this could still be a happy time.

She rolled over and felt a hand on her hip, and felt a kiss on her forehead. As her eyes became accustomed to the dark she saw Jack sitting on the bedside, still in his uniform, his bags on the floor.

He was home early, perhaps by weeks.

Jack had expected a more somber return. He drove home that night, very quickly. He was driving a DEA vehicle as he had transitioned to working with them, and nobody bothered him as he sped home.

He only stopped for fuel and grabbed food to go. He was expecting to sleep on the sofa for a while, but Vixxen would love him again the way she had before, he was sure of it.

He had excused himself for a family emergency, and his boss had understood. Jack was solid, a great officer on his way up. People needed to take care of their family.

Jack’s expectations were completely wrong. Vixxen flung herself at him in a very tight embrace.

She was naked and she didn’t care. Jack was fully clothed and reeked from a very rough night and a hard drive home. He didn’t care either.

In moments Vixxen was pulling his uniform off of him, and soon they were fucking. This wasn’t romantic sex though, this was a release for both of them.

All of their fear and anxiety, all of their uncertainty, they spent a good thirty minutes working it out on their bed. For the first time no condoms were used, neither of them even considered it.

Jack was exhausted and fell asleep while he was still inside of her. Vixxen wasn’t as tired physically, but mentally she was, and Jack’s embrace was better than a warm blanket on a cold night. She was soon asleep as well.

When Vixxen woke up it was daytime, and it was bright. She smiled, remembering a happy dream about Jack, but then felt someone in bed with her.

She rolled over and then snuggled her lover, being as happy to find Jack in bed with her as she could remember.

This would work.

Fuck the world, they would make this work. Fuck her job on the pole, fuck his job chasing bad guys, they would find a way to make it work.

Where do they go from here?
