You pick up your field manual, given to every trainee, and flip to the Glossary page.

'This chapter is intended to be a place to keep track of acronyms for all agents out in the field. It will be updated regularly so agents can maintain operational effectiveness. If any of the information is incorrect, please inform the agency so corrections can be made.

0 - 9

2nd Commando Group - Australian Special Operations unit who often engage in direct action missions such as raids. Members also serve on rotation with TAG East.

5th Special Forces Group - A unit of the US Army's Special Forces that has four battalions. Often tasked with counterinsurgency missions.

A

ASIO - Australian Security Intelligence Organisation. Australia's domestic intelligence agency.

ASIS - Australian Secret Intelligence Service. Australia's foreign intelligence agency.

B

Beretta 21A Bobcat - Italian pocket pistol chambered in either .22 LR or .25 ACP. Uses either 7 (.22 LR) or 8 (.25 ACP) round magazines, plus one in the chamber.

Beretta M9/92FS - Full sized handgun designed in Italy. Also refered to as the M9 in US Military service. Fires 9x19mm with standard magazines holding 15 rounds.

CIA - Central Intelligence Agency. USA's foregin intelligence agency.

CRPD - Costa Rosa Police Department. The police department of the fictional Costa Rosa, California

DEA - Enforcement Agency. A Federal law enforcement agency tasked with combating the trade.

FBI - Federal Bureau of Investigation. USA federal law enforcement agency often tasked with investigations and counterintelligence.

G

Glock - Brand of striker fired handguns that are popular among many paramilitary groups. Come in a variety of sizes and calibers.

Green Beret - Term for a US Army Special Forces soldier

Hollowpoint - A type of bullet that is designed to expand, maximizing tissue damage whilst minimizing overpenetration.

HVT - High-Value Target.

Intel - Short for intelligence

ISIS - Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Islamic terrorist group also referred to as IS (Islamic State) and Daesh

Kahr P9 - Compact 9x19 mm handgun that holds 8 rounds in the magazine, plus one in the chamber.

M

M4 Carbine - Current US Military service rifle that is a shortened variant of the M16 rifle. Fires 5.56x45 NATO ammunition. Standard issue magazines hold 30 rounds. The M4 is able to fire in semi-automatic or in three-round bursts, wheras the M4A1 can fire semi or fully automatic.

MP5 - German submachine gun popular among paramilitary groups chambered in 9x19mm. Magazines hold 30 rounds each.

Ministry of State Security - Chinese foreign intelligence agency

Multitool- A (generally pocket-sized) object that holds multiple tools, such as knives, saws, screwdrivers, and rulers. Brands include Leatherman and Victorinox (manufactures of Swiss Army Knives)

SAD - Special Activities Division, the paramilitary branch of the CIA

SOCP Dagger - Skeletonized dagger designed by Benchmade for special forces use.

STUD - Seductive Tasking Undercover Division. A (fictional) arm of the CIA that trains agents to seduce their targets.

SWAT - Special Weapons and Tactics. Specialized police tactical unit tasked with high-risk situations such as barricaded suspects and hostage rescues.

T

TAG East - Australian Counter Terrorism Unit who draws its members mainly from 2nd Commando Group (see above). Tasked with dealing with domestic incidences such as hostage rescues.

Toro Cartel - A fictional Mexican cartel operating in Costa Rosa.

U

US SOCOM - United States Special Operations COMmand. Oversees various US special operation units such as Special Forces and Navy SEALs
