Chapter 11
by Ator
Stick with them? What else is going on?
Somebody saw them
When Jill's eyes opened, she happened to be facing the door. The wooden door was open, but the screen door had been closed. Ahiri had been watching them, looking as if she just stopped mid-stride, holding a mop and bucket. Her mouth was open and eyes were wide. As soon as the 2 girls made eye contact, the spell was broken. Ahiri squeaked out "Sorry!" while dropping everything and putting her hands to her face. She turned and ran back to her own cabin.
Jill had been friends with the other girl for a long time. She knew, right now, Ahiri was kicking herself for being "rude," by walking in on her and Chris. And she knew she had to talk with her, calm her, or Ahiri would completely withdraw from everyone for the next day or two.
Chris, apparently had not seen what happened. Jill saw his hand approaching her chest. Doing a ducking down, twist maneuver, she slid out of his grasp. Chris blinked for a moment, coming back to reality as Jill handed him the broom she had been holding. "Can you finish up for me? Ahiri saw and she's super embarrassed. I need to go talk to her."
Chris immediately began fuming. But he kept it under control. It wouldn't do him well in the future for him to get pissed about this. She had been into it. He **** a warm smile. "Oh no problem," he said, taking the broom. "Please apologize for me as well. Heat of the moment and what all."
Jill grinned and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Thanks...cutie."
As she ran out the door, Chris sighed. He hoped that session hadn't been enough to blue-ball him, and began to sweep out the rest of Jill's cabin.

Jill went up to the cabin next door. She tapped on the wooden frame lightly as she entered. "Ahiri?"
Just as she expected, her friend was balled up in the corner next to the stack of footlockers, face still covered. Her voice muffled by her hands, Jill heard "Sorry sorry sorry sorry!"
Jill smiled and sat on the floor next to her. "It's ok! Nothing happened!"
"But, it looked like something happened!" she said from behind her hands, still.
Jill laughed. "No, not really. He was just teaching me how to sweep!"
Ahiri pulled her hands down part way. "That's sweeping where he's from?"
"Well, ok. Maybe we got carried away, but it's alright. It was just a little fun!"
Ahiri lowered her hands to her lap. A tear went down her face, soon followed by another. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin...your sweeping."
"Don't cry." Jill said, wiping away a tear, and pushing her friend's hair back. "It was harmless."
Ahiri sniffled and wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry. It looked like fun. But I was also jealous. I know we talked that this trip would be when 'It' happened for me. But we haven't been here more than a few hours and you already have a boyfriend and..."
Jill grabbed her friend in a hug. "Whoa! Who said 'boyfriend'? I just met this guy! It was hot, but I wasn't going to sleep with him right then and there." Ahiri laughed and let her head be pulled into her friends embrace. It felt nice when Jill stroked her hair. "Look, don't rush it. If it happens, let it be with the right guy, or when you are ready, with the wrong guy. Just don't expect love and rockets in the 3 hours we've been here so far." Ahiri laughed again, and sighed as she lay her head on her friend's soft chest. "Besides, you have Mt. Tex to climb."
"Shut up!" Ahiri said, punching her friend in the leg. But at the same time, she felt a burst of warmth at the mention of Alan. She only hoped it could come true.
**********************
After awhile, they got up and went back to Jill's cabin. Chris was finishing up, sweeping the last of the filth out the door. He gave a grandiose bow and apologized to Ahiri, which got her embarrassed again, making her flush red. But he also noticed that Jill's friend had loosened up a bit, and giggled at a few jokes he made. Always good to have the winggirl on his side.
By the time they had finished up Jill's cabin, Toni and Stacy had finished theirs too. And they saw Alan coming down the road, loaded up with bed pieces, Cindi right behind him. Both were soaked in sweat, but grinning as they sped-walked to the last cabin in the line to set down their loads. Panting heavily, they stopped at the group and advised everything was set for the other cabins, and they could go over to clean those. Suddenly, Alan shouted "Go!" and took off in the direction of the outbuilding.
"Dammit Alan! NO FAIR!" yelled Cindi, and ran after him.
Stacy gave a bemused grin. "Well, either it's a competition, or puppy-love. Isn't that cute?"
Ahiri, who had begun to relax, had her mood soured again.
What happens now?
